When approached in the summer of 2008 to once again support Hard Rock Cafe's "Pinktober" campaign, Melanie C didn't hesitate to agree. Having recently returned home from the hectic pace of the Return Of The Spice Girls Tour, the thought of an intimate, acoustic evening in front ofher fans very much appealed to Melanie. The fact that the event was to raise money for the Caron Keating Foundation only made Melanie more determined to participate.

It is this combination of fans and charity that has led to the forthcoming release of "Melanie C live at The Hard Rock Cafe" on DVD on June 29th. The brainchild of a handful of Melanie's dedicated fans, their idea was to capture on film Melanie's final public performance after ten years of touring before taking a break to become a mum. Armed with just three camcorders and a network of talented volunteer fans they have created an impressive DVD that perfectly encapsulates the atmosphere of a very special and intimate evening.

With all profits benefiting the Caron Keating Foundation, the DVD includes acoustic versions of the hits 'I Turn To You', 'Never Be The Same Again' and 'Next Best Superstar' as well as some personal favourites during a 75 minute set. Included as well are two photo galleries featuring the previously unheard demo tracks 'Paris Burning' and 'Blue Skies All The Way' and Melanie also gives a personal insight into the development and recording of her latest album "This Time".
